Returns Procedure

We hope you will be very happy with your order, but if you do wish to return an item or cancel an order please read the following information carefully.


If you wish to return an item or items and have received the items or notification that the items have been dispatched:

Please email us at info@mrsfarmerscandles.uk including your name, address, order number and a list of the items you wish to cancel/return.

If we have already dispatched the order, or you have already received the order we will issue you with a returns number.  Please enclose this information, along with your original packing slip, in the parcel and return it to us within 14 days of receiving this number, otherwise we will not refund you.  You are responsible for the cost of returning the item(s).   We are not obliged to refund to you your cost of re-packing and returning the Goods.  We will however refund you the cost of your order and our standard delivery charge (if you have chosen to upgrade your delivery option, we are not obliged to refund this).

If you fail to return the goods, within twenty days, we are entitled to arrange for their collection.  If we do we shall deduct the cost of this from your refund.

We will refund your money within 14 days of receipt by us of the returned Goods.

Your rights

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a cooling off period of 14 days which starts when you place your order, and ends 14 days after receipt of the goods. 

During this period, you may return goods in saleable condition for any reason whatsoever.  

However, if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling them more than was necessary, we reserve the right to make an appropriate deduction from your refund.  It is expected that the goods will not be handled more than you would handle goods in a shop.  This notice shall be deemed to fulfil our obligation to inform you of your rights, and all orders will be accepted on the understanding that you have been so informed.

As is our right, items that are excluded from our returns policy are:

  • items that are perishable;
  • have been made or altered to your specification
  • came to you shrink wrapped or otherwise sealed, and you have broken the wrapping or seal
  • have been used or labels removed.

Under the Online and distance selling rules We are also under no obligation to refund goods and services worth £42 or less.   If you therefore wish to return items where your entire order was less than £42 we will accept the return but please note we will only refund you the cost of the items you purchased and not the delivery charge.

Faulty items

If an item you have purchased is faulty, please contact us at info@mrsfarmerscandles.uk as soon possible to let us know what the problem is.  Where faulty goods need to be returned, we will usually cover the reasonable costs of returning the item. If you return any faulty items to us without first contacting us, we are only obliged to cover the reasonable cost of returning the item to us - this will be deemed to be the cheapest postal method available for the size / weight of the item being returned.  

For all orders sent back to us, it is advisable to get proof of postage, this is to cover both parties in the event that the item gets lost in the post.
